Shopmobility - Good News Story

 A +90 year old lady from Scone visited Shopmobility to tell them that her scooter wasn’t working anymore and if they could help her. This lady did not know much about the scooter. Rusit managed to pick it up the next working day in his own car. Before leaving the lady’s home Rusit told me she said “good bye Esmeralda, I’m going to miss you.”

Rusit checked the scooter over at Shopmobility and it appeared to be working fine, so he called the lady and explained this to her. To test the battery, he had to charge the scooter overnight.

The next day he tested the batteries and they both passed with flying colours. So he called the lady to explain it to her and that he would bring the scooter back that day. He also made a nice key tag with the name “Esmeralda” on it.

When he handed the scooter back, the lady was very happy and loved the key tag. He showed her some of the basic functions of her scooter because the people she bought it from never did.

Even though Shopmobility did not have to fix anything on the scooter, the lady wanted to give them a £20 donation and a tin of celebrations. A perfect example of going above and beyond the call of duty. Well done to Rusit and the team.
