This week, we are raising awareness about menopause and working to break the silence around this important topic. 18th October is Menopause Awareness Day, and we’ll be sharing resources throughout the week to help increase understanding and challenge any taboos.
Managers play a crucial role in supporting employees through menopause, and we’re committed to fostering a workplace where we can all have honest and open conversations.
To support you, we’ve attached a helpful document with advice on how to approach a conversation with your manager about menopause.
Here are a few useful tips from the document:
Prepare in advance: Make a list of your symptoms and think of practical solutions to share during the conversation.
Be specific: Consider what adjustments would help, such as flexible hours, remote working, or changes to your workspace.
Build a support network: Open up to colleagues who may be experiencing the same challenges for mutual support.
